Feeling is Creation
April 17, 2020

I am a nature lover. I may not be doing all the things a nature lover would be doing and involved with, however these are few little ones I feel thankful and deeply appreciative of the nature’s unconditional love.

The warmth and brightness of sunshine lights me up…I stretch my arms wide and thank Sun as I face him first in the morning, thank you sunshine!

Listening to birds chirping, my lips erupt into a smile and brings joy

Witnessing the vibrant flowers, lush plants, trees and the sway from the gentle breeze of trees brings the natural comfort, ease, and serenity.

Whenever I have opportunity to click the sunset pics, I want to grab.

After listening to Jay Shetty’s meditation, I am even more caught in the nature. As I was walking in the community, I could pay little more attention to the details…color of the flower, what size the flower is, is it small, or big? How are the petals? Some flowers have more intricate details, and gradient colors…like being brighter at the center and turning lighter towards the edges…

I noticed lots of pink flowers, some with rich pink, some darker ones, some with lighter shades; some white ones, and some yellow ones. A few bright red ones.

We have variety of trees in the community. I noticed how tall each tree is. I paid attention to bark of the trees. Some were with smooth texture, and some had rough texture. Some dark brown, some had light colored barks…Some trees had no leaves yet, and many had fresh spring green colored leaves. There were so many spring green tender leaves and twigs sprouting. Some had small pink buds…

This is something that bought me a great spark…tree was barren with no leaves, but the tree bed was full of small little flowers, mixture of white and blue colors. It was delightful to notice this.

As I was approaching trees, I could experience gentler breeze and see them sway

I recalled what Jay was saying. I could feel they absorbing the carbon dioxide I am breathing out and providing me a burst of fresh oxygen. I could feel and experience some shade as I walked underneath the big trees.

Through my walk, I could hear happy chirping of birds as if they are saying a happy hello to me. Some were flying gracefully.

I saw a small red bird coming and landing on a roof. I got absorbed looking at the bird, it’s intricate beauty, having a subtle mixture of blue and yellow colors in between…

It was a delightful 1 hour walk!! recalled one more time Jay’s words and offered my gratitude to the plants, flowers, trees, sun, birds.

For the beauty, flowers are radiating,

the gentle breeze, shade, and oxygen plants and trees are providing,

The joy and the melodious sounds birds are giving out

The warmth and brightness of the sunshine

How unconditionally they are radiating, with no biases or discrimination; no matter how the situation is in the world, they serving with pure love

I am so happy to bring my attention, and attention to so many details, and making my walk such a rich and beautiful experience. Also reflect on the lessons Jay taught:

  1. By paying attention to the details, we can discover the hidden treasures
  2. Let us enjoy the beauty of the flowers: its vibrant colors, smell, intricate details…but not pluck it. Leave for others to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the flowers. Similarly, we can take/enjoy and appreciate what we want, and leave the way it is
  3. Just the way we nourish and water flower plants, we should water and nourish our relationships every day.
  4. Nothing is more tolerant than a Tree, withering through the four seasons, and yet serving oxygen, shade, fruits/flowers without discrimination. Tree is a beautiful emblem of service
  5. By observing nature, and giving attention to details, we don’ feel pain as much. We just get to see as lessons, growth, and transformation.
  6. Despite the obstacles and situations, we could choose to feel the calm, balance, ease, stillness and peace, and serve unconditionally, just similar to plants, trees, flowers, and sun.

May some of these lessons from nature help us to be calm, balance, at ease, peace, and radiate the unconditional love.
