Rewards

“Rewards are far greater than the efforts we put in” This is a quote by Gurudeva, Dandapani’s Guru. I would like to share a personal story that resonates so close to what this quote says.

Last year around this time of the year, I started learning to ride a bicycle. It wasn’t easy. I had couple of falls and a big cut. It didn’t stop me from learning. I had no idea of how to learn to ride a bike. I was sent some Magical people my way at every step I needed.  God blessed me with enough strength, courage where I needed, and I ritually practiced every day. Opportunities helped me too. I had all the time in the evening for myself, and it made it much easier and doable to put long hours of practice.

Today I am reaping the far greater rewards of having a fun exercise in fresh air, right in our community. When my son joins me, it is so much more fun, and an accomplished feeling, hey this is one physical activity I am able to do with my son!

If I haven’t learned to ride the bicycle, I would have missed all this joy I am having now. I can definitely say from this experience that, “rewards are far greater than the efforts we put in.”
