A Beautiful Fresh Rose -- Nature's simple beauty to express our gratitude

Expressing gratitude to the simple joys, opens the flood gates to greater abundance. Our life revolves around our relationships, work, passions, goals, to-do’s. While we are so fortunate experiencing the many beautiful experiences and opportunities, it is quite easy to slip appreciating these simple joys.

Every day on my way to work, I sing a Gratitude Song, Thanking each of my loved ones, my work, my colleagues, my friends, and all the wonderful opportunities I am blessed with. As the day goes, I keep thanking the nice things that flow in my way. These nice things don’t have to be the bigger accomplishments or something rare. Rather I express my Thank you to the warm-comforting Sunshine I am experiencing, watching a fresh dew drop on a blade of grass, noticing a smile on a stranger’s face, a big hug from my son etc

Expressing sincere gratitude and appreciation, I believe, puts our life into proper perspective. Our focus will be more on appreciation. In turn, more things we are thankful for flow to us, or we just tend to notice and observe the best, helpful and loving parts of a situation.

Also, at the end of the day, I write down 5 Things I am Thankful for today, and many times my list keeps growing. Sometimes I do it mentally in my mind. This is an awesome practice to do even when we are feeling low or when our day doesn’t seem to be going well. As soon as I start making a mental list of all the things I am thankful for, it feels as if I hit my mental reset button to get into best-bountiful spirits.

Sometimes I do this Gratitude Exercise to list all the things I am Thankful for this week. You may wonder why again every week when I am already doing it every day. But this has its own benefits of recalling and reaffirming sincere gratitude to both small and bigger things, way long after they happened. I repeat this exercise periodically for a month, 90 days, 1 year, and each time it leaves me filled and pumped up.

In case you are not into this Gratitude practice yet, I urge you to begin it now and experience the good feelings and rich abundance in your life! If you could, please share it. I will post my Gratitude list for this year in my next blog.
